Today, it is just like any other day. Sequence of lame events:
English - Nothing much were done. A little discussion and that's all.
D & T - We continued on our name plates, which mine is completed. YAY!!! So for the next hour and 30 minutes, I slack. Okay... Not exactly but I started on a new thing, which is the making of a flute using a pipe. It was easy. Haha!!! It looked tough but trust me, it's no sweat. How hard can drilling holes into pipes be?
Recess - Went to Student Lounge instead of the Canteen. Wilson boy-boy treated me to the Lo Mai Kai he made during Home Econ. Omg!!! He should really be a chef.
Science - Today, we went to the Life Science Laboratory to do the inscription of DNA. It is so complicated. Here are the steps (might not be accurate due to the infection of my brain to STM):
1. Pour Salt Solution and Detergent into the Banana blend and stir. The Detergent is to wash the Banana blend and make sure it is clean.
2. Measure 70ml of it and pour it into a beaker.
3. Put 1ml of papaya juice into the mixture and put the mixture into the "oven" at 60 degree Celsius. The papaya juice contains an enzyme that "eats up" the cell proteins.
4. After the heating, the beaker is put into the ice box and is stirred for 5 minute. As DNA decomposes in room temperature, it has to be cooled.
5. It is poured into a filter funnel with a filter paper to remove the impurities like the Detergent and the enzymes. The filtrate collected in the beaker contains DNA of the Banana Plant and Salt.
6. The filtrate is placed into the ice box and Ethanol (an alcohol) is added. It is placed in the box for a few minutes. The final result would look like this:
The "bubbles" are actually the DNA. It is stable unless you shake it.

It appears to be blue as it is shined against a blue light. It should be colourless. Seeing the DNA, our one and a half hour of hard work pays off.
P.s. Sorry for the inconsistent dates of the posts. I hardly have the time to blog so I would just throw a bunch of posts in when I have time.
P.s.s. I dreamt of Mrs Ang teaching in Cat High yesterday night. What a weird dream... When I woke up, I couldn't sleep. I miss the way Mrs Ang joked and made fun of everything. And how 6D mess around in that total childish manner. Please... Someone please organise a class party or something. Where's that 6D spirit that used to be overwhelming the whole of NCPS?
