Lost and Found: Passport

Today, something disastrous happened. It happens in every year. It's an annual catastrophe. Okay... Maybe it isn't that bad... But you get the main idea... It all started when...

It's a beautiful morning... Okay... Maybe afternoon... I just woke up. What a beautiful day for the human race!!! Daily routine done: Brush my teeth (make sure they shine), eat my breakfast (Milo and Cereal), etc. Next, I called the ICA (Immigrant Checkpoint Authority) to ask about the extension of Passport. My expiry date was 17 Dec. I'm going to Malacca on the 1st to the 4th for a cool vacation together with the whole extended family. So I have to make sure that the expiry date is far from the vacation. I can't be stopped there. Nothing can stop the perfect vacation (and me). Guess what? I waited for 10 minutes but no one was there to answer that phone. Too busy I think. The typical ICA. Then, the sky turned dark, marking the start of a disaster. My dad brought me to the ICA building to extend. All by myself! And he left. After a few hours, I was still there with no progress. He came. And started blabbering, scolding, hurling, you name it, he got it. Then he left me in a deserted street and ask me to go home myself. What an idiot!!! The first thing I thought of is the Basic Survival Skills, but of course that wouldn't come to use... in a city!!! So I took a bus home using the coins I have. And in the end, I reached home!!! Remarkable isn't it??? I know it is. Then something made me looked in the documents I brought to the ICA building (The passport, Birth Certificate, etc.). You know what??? No passport!!! I can't find it. 2nd look. Still NO!!! My family members started to look for it in the car. Still NO!!! All I wanted is to make sure that the vacation will not be affected because my passport. And yet I lost it!!! Making things worst!!! Then my maid look around 1 more time. And YES!!! It's there!!! Cool!!! Things will still be perfect for the vacation!!!

After-result-release pressure

Sigh... PSLE might be over, but the pressure's just getting started. I am worrying about what school to go. All along, I thought Xin Min Secondary (My Dream School 72 hours ago) is the right choice. But now, I think that Catholic High is better. (Although I am not a Christian) Comparison:

Catholic High
Gender: Boys
Aggregate: 248
Streams: Express only
It's quite new

Xin Min Secondary
Gender: Mixed
Aggregate: 245
Streams: Express, Normal Acadamic and Normal Technical
It has many cool facilities

I got my PSLE results!!!

Yeah!!! From this word, you can tell that I got a good grade. I got 251/300. Many people are happy. Other are not. I can go to my dream school now!!! Yeah!!! But 6D-12 isn't happy. She got 235. She could not go to the same school as her best friend (6D-40, who got 249). My family (real) celebrated my achievements with a feast at Compass Point's Jack's Place. But being her "brother", I can't leave her to cry on her own. So I went to the library and console her. I feel like an angel. Lolx!!! Anyway, I got the 3rd in class (with 2 A's and 2 A*'s. And the 1st in class (6D-26) didn't maintain his standards, as a matter of fact, he didn't even make it to the top 10 of our class. Overconfidence...

P.S. The pupil with the highest score in our school is Iris, getting an aggregate of 286. She is always so smart. And the highest in the whole of Singapore gets an aggregate of 294. That means straight A*'s for all subjects. That's remarkable!!!

I am getting my PSLE results in 2 more hours!!!

In 2 hours' time, I'll be in school collecting my PSLE results. And somehow, I feeling my blood freezing. That always happens when I am anxious. It's not a surprise that I have butterflies in my stomach. But I can't help it. Whether I am going to be a successful doctor, a famous millionaire, an "Einstein" or a beggar, a parasite in the future, it all depends on my result. Erm... Maybe it's not as serious but you get the importance, right? Anyway, gotta go!!! Mum's rushing me...

Friends, Fun and Funk

Yesterday, the "Happy Family" went out to AMK Hub and caught a movie. I didn't want to go as 6D-40 and 6D-12 weren't going, and many people who go are those that shouldn't. But in the end, I decided to go. And that was a right choice....

It was 11.30am when I wanted to go. Apparently, it was too late. The meeting time was at 11. So I gotta go there myself. But no problem. I can take a train there. A train to VivoCity is no problem, no need for changing train. Haha!!! But next, a message from 6D-27: change location to AMK Hub. OMG!!! I just learned how to take a train. And now I need to go to a train interchange??? But nothing stops me!!! That's who I am!!! Haha!!! JKJK!!! So I took the train to Dholby Ghaut MRT. And took the the train from there to Ang Mo Kio. So at last, I reached AMK Hub!!! Such a great achievement!!! I feel good!!! Haha!!! How embarrassing!!! I reached there at 12.25. After the hour in the train, I feel the urge... the urge... the URGE of... of... URINATING!!! The next 5 minutes was spent searching for a toilet (not to mention the disappointment of finding a toilet that's under maintenance). Next, I went to the Cinema, in search of the "Happy Family". But I only found 6D-27, who told me that the movie (Bratz) will start in 5 minutes. I got a ticket and take a seat beside 6D-34, who just came together with 6D-41. For the whole show, she had to make me control my laughter. After the show, we talked and walked till the boys (6D-04, 6D-19, 6D-22, 6D-23 and 6D-36) come out from the cinema. We again walked and talked. Then 6D-19 made a confession to me telling me about The Case of the Missing Duel Master Cards. He told me the whole story:

Series of Events (Real Story) :
Last day of School (16 Nov 2007, Friday)

The "gang" members: 6D-13*, 6D-15#, 6D-17, 6D-19, 6D-31 and 6D-35*

*-backed out in the end
#-mastermind

1105 - They stole the cards. Some of the members wanted to back out.

1200 - 6D-21 found that his Duel Master album is lost.

1205 - 6D-17 and 6D-31 faked that their cards/deck are lost. 6D-15 was home with the cards. He went home early, using stomachache as a reason to get away.

Some time before 1300 - The gang members who didn't back out went to 6D-15's house to get the cards from him so that when we confront 6D-15, we wouldn't be able to find the cards in his house.

1315 - We reached 6D-15's house, but we couldn't find the album.

1325 - 6D-17 suddenly called and said that there was a boy in the canteen flipping an album. The album was identified to be 6D-21's album. 6D-17 approached him, scaring him away. The person was not identified, he escaped, leaving the album on the table. But that was a fake story by 6D-17. By that time, 6D-17 had already taken some percious cards out, preparing to hand the "worthless" album back the 6D-21.

1335 - The album was recovered, but a few good cards are gone.

I already reported my findings to 6D-A. Now I can finally say "MISSION ACCOMPLISH" !!!

The Case of the Stolen Duel Master Cards

As the title explains, Duel Master cards were stolen. It goes like this:

Series of events:

1100 - I went up to the 3rd storey, which is where the classroom is and saw 6D-15 and 6D-31.

1200 - 6D-21 found that his Duel Master album is lost.

1205 - 6D-17 and 6D-31 also discovered that their cards/deck are lost. Everyone suspected that it's 6D-15 who has stolen as he just went home using stomachache as an excuse.

1215 - I decided to help on this mission. 6D-A was informed and wanted me to start by calling him. I called him and talked as if no one suspected him. I also said that 6D-21 deserved it to make things more real. He said stuff like:
- He's scared of people suspecting that he had stolen it.
- His cards was once lost and he understood the feeling.
- He also asked me to inform 6D-31 to call him.

1230 - 6D-A wanted me to call 6D-15 again. I called but there wasn't any respond.

1300 - 6D-13, 6D-17 and 6D-21 went to 6D-15's house to confront him. Being responsible for this case, I wouldn't want any fight or casualties, at the same time, I can get first hand news. So I asked 6D-04 to bring me there.

1315 - We (6D-04 and I) reached there the same time as them (the rest). 6D-21 searched the 6D-15's house but didn't find the deck.

1325 - 6D-17 suddenly called and said that there was a boy in the canteen flipping an album. The album was identified to be 6D-21's album. 6D-17 approached him, scaring him away. The person was not identified, he escaped, leaving the album on the table. But the whole story here is based on 6D-17.

1335 - The album was recovered, but a few good cards are gone. 6D-17's and 6D-31's items were not recovered or found.

Clues:
- The person is smart enough to steal on the last day of school.
- In 6D-17's statement, he said that the mystery person was taller than him (6D-17 has a height of approximately 150 cm.
- The time of crime is between 1000 and 1200.
- The person should be a Primary 6 because of his height.
- If the person is a primary 6, the time of crime should be between 1100 to 1130 unless the person gave a reason to escape from the graduation ceremony.

Suspect:
1. 6D-17 - He might be lying about his part of the story. (10%)
2. 6D-15 - He might have an accomplice to help him. (25%)
3. The mystery person - High possibility!!! (55%)
4. Others - Need more clues to confirm. (10%)

Graduation Ceromony + Farewell Celebration for Mr. Chia (my Principal)

Today, I graduated. I am now out of the school, which gave me a strange feeling. I don't know what's wrong. Anyway, everything started by waiting for the Guest of Honour in the hall. Today, we get to sit on chairs. There was also a banner which says "Prize Presentation cum Graduation Ceremony". We clapped and shouted for the Guest of Honour. Next, there's a speech by the Guest of Honour and the Alumni Community. FYI, we're not the only people who are graduating, our Principal is also "graduating" as he'll be the new principal of Endeavour Primary School (FYI, it's a new school). A new challenge for him. Did I mention that my principal is great? Next is a short presentation of what the school has done over the years. Then it's time for prize presentation. It's a time when prizes are given out to people who got first in their classes or the first in the level. Many of my younger friends got them. Of course, no one knows the PSLE results (until 22 Nov 2007) so there's no prize presentation for the Primary 6. Next, there's another speech and we sang the Graduation song. Before we know it, we graduated!!! There's confetti everywhere and we threw them to each other. Finally it ended. We went down for our light refreshments (which isn't really light for some hungry people). The food are those that you find in hotels. They are extra delicious. That was why I ate 6 pieces of chocolate ice-cream puffs, 2 pieces of sandwich (egg) and 2 cups of orange juice. For the rest of the recess, people play soccer, hang out with friends, etc. While I just walked around, recollecting the memories over the years. Next everyone went up to the hall again to hold a farewell celebration for our dear principal. For the next 1 hour, the hall was filled with laughter, chatter, tears, shouting, expression of love (to our dear Principal) and singing. FYI, I cried. You know what? Next comes the scolding, the discipline mistress bellowed and reprimanded the school's behaviour. It ended and we went home. Happy? Well, not everyone. 6D-21's cards were stolen. The same goes for 6D-31's and 6D-17's cards. Want know more? Check out the next entry.

Graduation's tomorrow!!!

Tomorrow is the last day of school, also the graduation ceremony for the Primary 6 like me. After spending 6 years in "Hell", I mean school, it's not easy to leave the school without shedding a tear. Thinking of all the good and bad times in Nan Chiau (my school), there's a nostalgic feeling that is going to overwhelm me. It's definitely difficult to put the feeling in words. I just hope that my friends are going to the same secondary school with me. I don't want to overcome the problems in secondary school all by myself. I need my "Happy Family" to help me. Although I don't believe I am saying this but it's true. But no matter what challenges I am going to face, me, myself and I will work hard as one to overcome them. That's who I am.

Happy Family Crisis

Today, many people in class joined the happy family. It started like this...... It is today, a day like the past few days. People playing "Murderer", Heart Attack, etc. (A few of the common games played after examinations) Happy? Fun? Nice? Sweet? Well, not for today! When we (6D-04, 6D-08, 6D-15, 6D-19, 6D-21, 6D-23, 6D-27, 6D-34, 6D-35, 6D-36, 6D-39 and 6D-40) played "Murderer", 6D-15 kept on calling 6D-39 "mummy", giving the happy family an idea which can turn it into "unhappy family". They thought it would be a good idea to include 6D-15 and some other people into the family. Apparently, I didn't. Like 6D-22, I only think that people who can be trusted, can know secrets, not unpopular (don't have to be popular), are caring, etc. can join. Obviously, 6D-27, 6D-34, 6D-39 and 6D-40 didn't share the same view, letting some jerks get into the family. I wanted to quit. I thought hard about it for the whole recess. In the end, I quit. But they insisted that I give a reason. Being an angel in their eyes, I can't show the bad side of me. So I didn't give them any reasons. I just told 6D-40 that I don't want 6D-15 to be my brother. But, feeling awkward, I told them that for the sake of them, I don't quit. Of course it's fake. Since they don't care, I stay in the family only because the care of a family.

I m turning into...

As you can tell from the title, I don't know how I became so ignorant, bossy, act cool (the hokkien says: Hao Lian) and worst of all evil. My popularity made me feel good, strong and powerful. But after possessing the power. Next comes evil. It feels great to be in power. But I'm turning into... a monster? Seriously, I just want to be myself. It's just like spiderman turning symbiote.

Family Gathering: Discussion for the Vacation

Today, we went to Festive Market (A shopping Centre in Hougang) as the whole extended family (except Wee Zun's family) wanted to discuss about the vacation we're having together. After having our lunch there, we went to shop. Next, we went to my granny's house for discussion (fo adults) and fun (for us "childrens"). The adults discussed about where to go while we (Tiet Ho*, Tiet Gan*, JJ, JQ, Melissa, Kimberly and me) played cards, UNO Stacko, soccer, etc.

*-Tiet Ho and Tiet Gan, my two witty, cool, funny cousins.

- Tiet Ho, profile: born in 1994, he is born in the year of dog. He is smart, talented and also funny. He is always admired for his brain. He's also the winner of our "Best Cousin Award".

- Tiet Gan, profile: born in the 1997, he is born in the year of ox. He is like his brother, Tiet Ho, in many ways, but not as smart and funny. He has sweaty palms and it's kind of a big problem. Being witty, he always quarrels and fight with his elder brother. FYI, he always lose his bigger (and better) brother.

At approximately 4, Tiet Ho and Tiet Gan's family went home, leaving Melissa's Family, mine, my granny and my uncle. To make a long story short, we gambled (which made me $7 richer), played hide and seek with noobs (people who are lousy) and watch television for the next 5 hours and went home.

A series of unfortunate events

Today, many bad things happened:
1. 6D-39 wasn't happy with 6D-40 as she sat with 6D-12 in assembly yesterday. Actually, 6D-39 is just too possessive.
2. 6D-32 quarrelled with 6D-22 because of some handphone issues - reading each others' private message.
3. 6D-15 didn't want me too join them in the game of UNO. So we "fought" (using words, not hands) . Of course most people are on my side. And I won by insulting his blubbernugget (fats for dumbells) and his mole. 6D-21 helped too by insulting him and his big head.
Anyway, since things are good for me, I should make it the same for others.*

*-You might think I am like an angel. Sometimes, I think I am one too. LOL!!!

Winner's prize is...

Today, my group for the project (6D-01, 6D-16, 6D-20 and 6D-24) had a free Deepavali (Indian festival: Festival of Lights) lunch buffet sponsor by the school. It kind of fun as I have never try Indian food before. We had some Indian culture rules and customs to follow:
1. We have to eat with our hands.
2. We have to eat with our right hands as our left hands are considered dirty.
3. We eat on a banana leaf instead of plate.
Most of their dishes were spicy. Did I say I don't really eat spicy food? Anyway, it was quite nice. The banana leaf (plate) consist of a kind of chip, rice, curry and a dessert. (Order: nicest to worst) The chips are like potato chips. The rice has a kind of pandan (coconut) smell. The curry is nice but really SPICY! The dessert is great...... without the persimmon. The persimmon spoil the taste of the dessert. After that, we went back to class and continue our day.

I won! But I don't wanna win!

Today, everyone present the project (Marine Litter Project). I thought my group done well. Apparently, I am not the only one. When I reached home, I had a call. It's 6D-A! A teacher! She said that our group is the best group in the class and so she said that we qualified for the next "round", which is presenting to the panel of judges and versus the other classes' winners. This might be great! But maybe not. Being qualified to the next round means I might need to present it on stage. But I've got stage fright! Not just talking about going on stage, that time when my help is needed at the backstage, I was already trembling! How am I going to present on stage. Oh my goodness! I don't know what I should do. I guess I just have to overcome my stage fright.
